Dr. Chowdhury has left his position as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley to start as an Assistant Professor at San Diego State University from August 2007
Lab Personnel
My Current Research Group:
- Elizabeth Joseph Abba
- Ph.D., Environmental Health
- Elizabeth is a Fulbright Scholar from India currenly working at SDSU under the supervision of Dr. Chowdhury. She is investigating source contribution to the particulate matter air pollution in four sites in Mumbai.
- Kathryn Cummings
- BS Student, Public Health
- Kate is continuing her interest in Air Quality through an internship with Dr. Chowdhury. She is hoping to gain valuable skills through the internship to better prepare her for a career in the Public Health field.
- Aaron Brueseke
- BS Student, Public Health
- Aaron is pursuing his interest in environmental public health by focusing on outdoor air quality. His current area of study is on the behavior of ultrafine particulate matter near major highways.
- Do Hyung Kim
- MS Student, Environmental Health
- Do Hyung is learning essential skills in using air pollution monitoring equipment in the laboratory.
- Vincent Hundley
- MS Student, Industrial Hygiene
- Vince has completed his MS thesis on measuring particulate matter emissions from different combustion sources. He is currently the President of his own company, Smart Safety, which provides safety guidance and testing of indoor air pollutants in work places.
- Ramtin Anousheh
- MS Student, Epidemiology and Biostatistics
- Ramtin is working on the EPA SPECIATE database and conducting source apportionment of fine particulate matter in several California counties.
